Microsoft will soon unveil their next Windows 11 update, also known as "Moment 5" or the "February 24 Moment". This release should arrive sometime soon and contains several notable changes worth keeping an eye out for.

Microsoft will bring Windows 11 back to its roots by providing annual updates.

What will this mean for you personally? You should expect your operating system to become more stable, experiencing fewer major changes, and less "moment updates". Instead, adopt a more predictable update schedule instead.

Let's see what Moment 5 holds for us.

Microsoft has enhanced Windows 11's accessibility features in this update, improving their user experience for those who rely on these.

Voice Access now supports additional languages and multiple monitors, with voice shortcuts now available for voice activation commands. Furthermore, Narrator now includes the capability of previewing natural voices for use with Voice Access.

One notable improvement is the ability to use any operating system and write directly into text fields with a stylus, making digital pens simpler by eliminating dedicated handwriting panels.

Microsoft recently unlocked certain of its in-box applications for uninstallation for the first time ever, such as Edge, Camera and Photos. If they are no longer needed on your system, simply remove them to free up space on your hard drive.

Microsoft has also made Windows Search more adaptable with this update, enabling search providers like Google and Yahoo to develop plug-ins for Windows Search if desired. If you prefer Bing (as many do) then this allows for seamless switchability between search engines.

Nearby Share (similar to Apple's AirDrop) will benefit greatly from supporting "friendly names". File sharing will become simpler if your PC has an easily readable name; Windows Spotlight may even display Bing's daily background as wallpaper!

Copilot keeps getting better! Now the Copilot interface can be undocked for greater accessibility and versatility; additionally it is available via Windows ALT+TAB for even easier and quicker access.

Microsoft recently made changes to their Widgets Board. Microsoft News integration can now be toggled off for use of a widget-only layout; third-party news services can develop plugins to integrate with Widgets and give users more choices.

Notepad includes a character counter and "Edit with Notepad" shortcut in the context menus of certain file types.

Moment 5 makes Windows 11 more accessible, adaptable, and user-friendly.
