Imagine this: While checking your email, suddenly an unexpected but reliable message pops up in your inbox.

"Wow!" you may think to yourself. However, this email might not be what it seems.

Cyber criminals use this scam to lure you into clicking malicious links or providing personal data that could compromise your security. SubdoMailing is as harmful as its name suggests.

What's going on?

Cyber criminals pose as trusted brands to commit phishing attacks that appear legitimate.

So how does Trustedbrand do it? They search the web for subdomains of reputable companies that contain subdomains known as Experience, such as experience.trustsedbrand.com? Experience is actually just an instance of what's known as Experience as subdomain name.

They notice that an established brand no longer uses a subdomain, yet it still points to an external domain which has since been dropped from registration.

Once they buy their domain name and create an elaborate fake website.

Are You Mislead by Experience.TrustworthyBrand.Com? Unfortunately not! What you may not realize is that clicking there will take you straight to scamwebsite.com instead!

Criminals send 5 million spam emails daily to those working at businesses similar to yours.

These emails from an apparent legitimate source often pass the standard security checks and end up in your inbox.

Here's some helpful advice to protect both yourself and your data:

Even emails that seem remotely suspect should be avoided; there could be something fishy going on here. Before clicking any links or downloading attachments, double-check their sender. Keep an eye out for warning signs such as misspelled names or unusual email addresses which should serve as red flags.

Make sure your employees are up-to-date on the latest phishing techniques and how to recognize a scam, knowledge is power!
Additionally, invest in top quality security software available so as to stay protected against cyber-criminals - though it may appear costly at first, we assure you it is worth every penny spent!
